Yvette Stone

Yvette grew up in Northbrook.  Her father is a CPA, and her mother worked as a bookkeeper. After graduating from the University of Arizona with a speech and hearing sciences degree, Yvette earned a master’s degree in special education from National Louis University.

She worked as a resource teacher in Skokie until taking time to raise her three children in Highland Park, Illinois. Never one to sit idle, Yvette volunteered at her children’s preschool and was president of their elementary school parent organization. Simultaneously, Yvette volunteered on several local fundraising boards and agencies. Always seeking knowledge, Yvette became certified in Thai Massage and worked as a realtor for several years.

Yvette’s mother had a long battle with cancer, putting life on hold again while she cared for her. After that, she worked at a popular retail store for a few years and honed her cooking skills. Eventually, this led to a position as chef’s assistant at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El. This was a dream job for Yvette, working with a talented mentor and friend and adding another skill to well-rounded experiences.

Yvette loves working with people and is excited to work for  MPB. She is drawn to the one-on-one time shared with clients and advocating for and assisting them to become financially organized. In addition to spending time with clients, Yvette volunteers at The Ark food pantry every week, helping to bring food to those in need in the Chicagoland area.
